NC500

High performance mono Class D power amplifier board. Currently considered one of the best digital amplifier available on the market, with an amazing sound, dynamic and worm like (or better than) a best class A amplifier. The performances of this board are very close to the top Ncore Hypex board NC1200 (expensive and sold by Hypex only to some hi-end manufacturers). The power is high and the THD is very low.

This amplifier, designed for the OEM market, hasn't the input buffer stage to allow the manufacturer to realize it according to his own needs. This allows you to choose, when configuring your own amplifier, to use, with the NC500 module, the basic i/o board (NC500 adapter) or the Rouge special i/o board (NCX2).

This i / o board realized by Hypex has the advantage of not bringing any color to the audio signal.

The buffer stage uses the LM4562 op-amps with the LDO voltage regulators.

The overall gain (in combination with the NC500 module) is 26db.

The input impedance is 47Kohm.

It is possible to increase the performances of the basic I / O board by replacing the LDO voltage regulators with the Hypex HxRs. In this way, the following improvements are achieved:

  • ultra low noise

  • higher bandwidth

  • excellent CMRR

  • low output independent load impedance

ROUGE NCX2

The NCX2 is our new high-performance i / o board designed for the Hypex NC500, NC1200 and NC2K modules. Gain: 26dB. Input impedance: 47Kohm.

The NCX2, in default, always uses the OPA1612 in the buffer stage, perhaps among the best IC's on the market for transparency and clarity of sound (without adding color), whose power is entrusted to the small and fast TI TPS7 voltage regulators ( LDO).

Basically, therefore, the same circuit as the previous NCX.

The new feautures, which makes NCX2 unique, is that it is nevertheless designed to add a discrete op-amp  on DIP8 and the Hypex HxR audiophile voltage regulators.

This "addition", however, does not replace the default setting of the circuit and its basic components (OPA1612 + TI TPS7) since, by moving the appropriate jumpers on the board, the user can always choose and select in any moment the combination (operational-voltage regulator) he prefers:

  • OPA1612 with TPS7 voltage regulators,

  • OPA1612 with HxR voltage regulators,

  • discrete components operational with TPS7 voltage regulators,

  • operational components with discrete components with HxR voltage regulators.

POWER SUPPLY. To supply each NC500 amplifier module, we use the Hypex SMPS1200A700 switching PSU.
